Zenvo ST-1

If you've never heard of the Zenvo ST-1, don't feel too bad - this is one of the most exclusive cars on the planet, with a production limited to fifteen cars. And there's good reason for that: Zenvo, a Danish car manufacturer, decided that if customers are to spend $1.8 million on a car, it better be exclusive! You do get a free $50.000 watch, though...

Zenvo - a name derived from its founders Jesper Jensen and Troels Vollertsen - have created this unique car using an engine based on the one in the Chevrolet Corvette, but this particular one is being built in-house. It's a 7-liter engine which produces a whopping 1104bhp, and it features both a supercharger and a turbo (which is the reason the car is called the ST-1). If you're a US citizen, they'll even up the power to a mind-blowing 1250bhp!

Even though the ST-1 is a high performance sports car, it will still be useable as a "daily driver", because of the supercharger and turbo. Put your foot down though, and this car will accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.0 seconds - keep pushing and the dial will read 200km/h in 8.9 seconds, and it will keep going until a top speed of 375km/h (that's 233mph!).

It's no bare-bones car either: once seated (after gaining entry with the keyless entry system) in the electrically adjustable leather racing seats, you're treated with satellite navigation, a power telescoping steering wheel and lots of other great features. Unlike other hardcore cars, the ST-1 does have ABS and traction control, and with that amount of power, that's a good thing.

With only three cars produced every year, and a total of only fifteen to be built, you won't see it out there on the road a lot, which really is a shame because it looks awesome, owing its aggressive lines to a design consultancy company called Hermann Brandt Hartvig. The design itself was done by Christian Brandt and Jesper Hermann, who also worked for Alfa Romeo and Kleemann. Here are a few pictures of their masterpiece.
