Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X aka Mitsubishi Evo 10

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (or Mitsubishi Evo 10 for short) is the latest generation of the Evolution. It is a high performance sedan, which comes in various power and torque flavors, yet all of them will have at least 276bhp, with power output reaching up to and including 400bhp for one version (the FQ-400).

Besides the engine, one thing of note is the gearbox, since there are also two different versions available. First there is the Lancer Evolution MR, which has a 6-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (aka as a TC-SST). The GSR version will have a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Evo 10 will also benefit from Mitsubishi's new AWC system, which has already been used and proven in older versions. This particular system (the Super All Wheel Control) uses torque vectoring technology to send different amounts of torque to the rear wheels.

All in all, whichever version you choose, the Evolution is definitely not a slow car. The range-topping FQ-400 does the 0-62mph sprint in 3.8 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.

It's also a very popular car, and many enthusiasts and tuners flock to the Evolution. Just have a look at these pictures, and I'm sure you'll see why it's such a popular car.
